Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Commercial Asset Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will own post-COD performance, value and risk profile of ILOS’s Irish utility-scale solar assets. You’ll lead commercial asset management across operations, contracts and counterparties to maximise availability, yield and cash generation, while maintaining robust governance, HSEQ and stakeholder alignment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the asset management of our operations in Ireland. You will manage contracts, insurance, reporting, and financials, while coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of our assets and joint ventures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all post-COD contracts (O&M, PPA, land, permits, warranties, LTSA, service credits), driving compliance, performance remedies and variations.
  • Run competitive processes for key services where needed; negotiate amendments and claims to protect value.
  • Own site/portfolio KPIs (availability, yield, PR, MTTR, H&S), chair performance reviews, and push structured RCA/CAPAs with O&M providers.
  • Prioritise preventative/corrective maintenance plans and annual inspections; approve work scopes and outage plans.
  • Coordinate with grid operators and market counterparties on curtailment, outages, compliance testing and metering; ensure timely submissions and settlements.
  • Place and steward asset insurance; manage notifications, adjusters and recoveries to resolution.
  • Maintain the asset risk register and mitigation plans; uphold HSEQ expectations across suppliers.
  • Own the asset budgets/forecasts (opex, capex, reserves); track variances and cash waterfall.
  • Deliver crisp monthly/quarterly reporting (technical, financial, ESG/H&S) for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive value-add initiatives (repowering packages, availability incentives, SCADA/analytics upgrades).
  • Coordinate with Finance and Tax advisors on SPV/JV compliance, audits and filings; ensure covenant and regulatory adherence.
  • Maintain robust document control and meeting cadence; prepare board packs and stakeholder updates.
  • Lead PPA onboarding/ tendering/ renegotiations; manage invoicing, reconciliations and credit risk.
  • Be the day-to-day focal point for investors, lenders, landowners, regulators and community representatives; communicate proactively and credibly.
  • Mentor junior team members; embed best practice and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing operating renewable assets (ideally utility-scale solar), including O&M and PPA oversight, performance analytics, and contract governance.
  • Sharp commercial judgement with hands-on claim/variation experience and strong supplier management.
  • Comfort operating in regulated energy environments and with grid/market stakeholders.
  • Excellent reporting discipline and stakeholder communication (investors, lenders, regulators, landowners).
  • HSEQ mindset with structured project/programme methods (e.g., PRINCE2 or similar).
  • Strong analytical tools (Excel/BI/SCADA/CMMS) and financial literacy (budgets, models, KPIs).
  • Fluent English; right to work in Ireland.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a degree program in business administration, industrial engineering, business informatics, or electrical engineering (from the 3rd semester onwards).

  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, paired with the ability to quickly grasp complex issues.
  • Previous experience in business development, M&A, or the energy sector is an advantage.
  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS O3ice applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel.

Senior Commercial Asset Manager (m/f/d)

Job Overview

The candidate will be responsible for (day-to-day) commercial & financial management of our international operating asset portfolio. This role will work closely with our senior technical asset manager and commercial asset managers based in various European regions. Our current operational solar portfolio extends across Germany, Ireland, Italy and the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial and administrative management of a multi-country European solar PV portfolio.
  • Manage, coach and develop a team of regional Commercial Asset Managers, setting priorities and KPIs, harmonising processes and tools across countries, and ensuring high-quality execution at local level.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle and performance of key contracts, ensuring obligations, deliverables and reporting requirements are met and optimised.
  • Own the preparation, consolidation and control of annual budgets, long-term financial plans, cash management and periodic variance analysis, defining and driving corrective actions to protect and enhance returns.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly reporting to senior management and investors, ensuring robust financial and KPI analysis, and act as key interface with Finance for accounting, tax, treasury, controlling, financial statements and portfolio valuations.
  • Ensure strong governance and compliance with statutory, contractual, financing and corporate requirements across all SPVs.
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with investors, lenders, off takers and key suppliers, acting as primary senior point of contact for operational matters and ensuring transparent, proactive communication.
  • Review and approve new asset management commercial offers and service proposals to ensure commercial robustness, competitiveness and alignment with company strategy and investor expectations.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Economics or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience in energy/ infrastructure asset management, including at least 5 years in renewable energy and proven utility-scale solar PV portfolio management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing SPVs and portfolios across multiple European countries, with hands-on responsibility for commercial asset performance.
  • Solid understanding of project finance structures, financial covenants and lender/ investor reporting.
  • Strong financial acumen: budgeting, variance analysis, cash flow modelling, P&L management and value-creation mindset.
  • Excellent contract management skills, including risk identification, mitigation and optimisation of commercial terms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Proven international team leadership, stakeholder management and clear communication skills, including presentations to senior management and external counterparties.
  • Solid understanding of European power markets and renewable energy regulation; advanced Excel and strong MS Office skills (experience with asset management/reporting tools a plus).
  • Fluent business German & English; additional European languages an advantage; willingness to travel regularly across Europe.

As a Senior Project Controller, you will take ownership of planning and scheduling across multiple Solar PV and BESS projects. You will be responsible for leading financial and project control functions across all stages of solar project development, financing, construction, and operation. This role ensures accurate financial planning, monitoring, and reporting to support strategic decision-making and maximize project profitability. Your expertise will drive project efficiency, resource allocation, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for solar projects throughout their lifecycle.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimise detailed project schedules for multiple Solar PV and BESS projects across Europe.
  • Ensure all schedules are aligned with key milestones, contractual obligations, and company objectives.
  • Collaborate with project development, engineering, and operations teams to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Track project progress against baseline schedules and KPIs and identify deviations early.
  • Analyse schedule impacts, identify critical paths, and propose corrective and mitigation actions.
  • Support risk identification and mitigation planning from a time and resource perspective.
  • Facilitate clear communication between internal teams, external partners, and clients regarding schedule status and key milestones.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports on schedules, risks, and resource plans for executive management, investors and stakeholders.
  • Present project status updates and scenario analyses to support decision-making.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project controls standards, tools, and templates.
  • Support the negotiation and management of project financing, including debt and equity arrangements, understand Financial Models.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Accounting, Project Management, Controlling, Renewable Energy, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in international project controlling, financial management, cost control and performance management, ideally within solar or renewable energy, infrastructure, or construction projects.
  • Proficiency in planning and scheduling tools such as Monday, Primavera P6 or Site Tracker or similar.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills, with a structured and detail-oriented way of working.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English; very good German is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and project management tools.
